One of the greatest pleasures of staying in our single rooms is the opportunity to sit by the window, watch the waves roll in and enjoy the ever-changing coastal scenery. From glorious summer sunrises to dramatic winter seas, the views are simply mesmerising throughout the year.
Room 6 – Second Floor
Located on the second floor, Room 6 is a warm and inviting single room decorated in rich ruby red tones, creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The vibrant colour palette adds character and charm, making it the perfect retreat after a day spent exploring Whitby. Room 10 – Third Floor
Situated on the third floor, Room 10 is beautifully styled in elegant shades of purple, creating a calming and restful space to unwind. The soothing décor complements the stunning sea views perfectly, offering a peaceful haven where you can sit back and watch the changing colours of the coastline. The room also benefits from an en-suite walk-in shower room with wash basin and WC.
Both the above rooms provide a cosy and relaxing space where you can put your feet up after a day exploring Whitby’s beaches, harbour, independent shops and famous attractions.
Room 15 – Fourth Floor
Tucked away on the fourth floor, Room 15 is a charming attic room full of character and coastal charm. Beautifully decorated in elegant peacock tones, this cosy room features a delightful bay window with comfortable seating, creating the perfect spot to enjoy the panoramic sea views stretching across the North Sea.
Room 15 has a wash basin within the bedroom, while the private walk-in shower room is located directly opposite the room. This shower room is exclusively for the use of guests staying in Room 15, offering both privacy and convenience.
As this room is situated on the fourth floor, guests should be comfortable climbing stairs, as The Riviera Guest House does not have a lift.
Everything You Need for a Comfortable Stay
All of our single rooms are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen LCD televisions, hairdryers and ironing boards, with an iron available upon request.
On arrival, you’ll find a well-stocked hospitality tray awaiting you, complete with a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and biscuits, replenished daily throughout your stay. We even provide both sugar and sweetener – just in case you’re sweet enough already!
If you’d like to enjoy a relaxing drink whilst taking in the views, you’ll also find a wine glass, water glass and mug provided in your room.
Bathrooms are stocked with complimentary shampoo/conditioner and shower gel, along with large, fresh fluffy white towels to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.
