Perched on the fourth floor of The Riviera Guest House, our Deluxe Double Sea View Rooms offer a cosy retreat with spectacular views across Whitby’s coastline and the North Sea. Nestled within the attic of the property, these charming rooms combine character, comfort and breathtaking scenery, making them a popular choice for guests seeking a relaxing seaside escape.
As these rooms are located on the fourth floor, guests should be comfortable climbing stairs, as the guest house does not have a lift. The reward is well worth it, with stunning elevated views that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your room and a peaceful setting away from the bustle of the town below.
Both rooms feature comfortable double beds, fitted furniture and a dressing table, along with a charming little bay window that makes the most of the spectacular sea views. Nestled within the bay window are two wicker chairs, creating the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, watch the waves roll in, or simply relax and take in the ever-changing coastal scenery. Blackout-lined curtains help ensure a peaceful night’s sleep, while dimmer-switch lighting and individually controlled heating allow you to create the perfect atmosphere for your stay.

Both rooms benefit from compact en-suite shower rooms and are thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. You’ll find complimentary shampoo/conditioner and shower gel, along with large, fresh fluffy white towels and a hairdryer.
On arrival, a well-stocked hospitality tray awaits, complete with a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and biscuits, replenished daily throughout your stay. We even provide both sugar and sweetener – just in case you’re sweet enough already!
For those wishing to enjoy a glass of wine whilst taking in the view, wine glasses are provided alongside water glasses and mugs. Complimentary Wi-Fi and a flat-screen LCD television come as standard, while ironing boards are available in each room with an iron supplied on request.
