Whitby is a controlled parking zone therefore there are two options for parking:
Pay & Display Zone
From 1st March to 31st October, outside the front of the Guesthouse (along the sea front), is a Pay & Display Zone. Between these dates, it will cost £6 per day to park your vehicle.
Outside of these dates, the machines are out of service, therefore it is free to park your vehicle. EV chargers in the area can be found by clicking here.
Disabled badge holders are exempt from payment.
Disc Zone
The majority of guests prefer to park in the Disc Zones around Whitby, especially throughout high season. There are many Disc Zones surrounding the Guesthouse which are all clearly signposted.
To park in the Disc Zones, you will need to display a permit (scratchcard) in your front window. These can be obtained from the Guesthouse, on arrival, at the cost of £3.00. These permits last up to 4 days, at which point they expire.
If you are staying longer than 4 days, you will need to obtain a new permit from the Guesthouse. This scheme is in place throughout the whole year and traffic wardens do patrol the area out of season.
