As well as our guide to events taking place in the North York Moors National Park there are many events taking place in nearby locations.
Scarborough is celebrating a remarkable milestone: 400 years as a spa resort!
Scarborough 400 marks four centuries since the spa waters in the South Bay were discovered, eventually leading to the town becoming a fashionable health resort.
The Scarborough Open Air Theatre has a bumper year of global live music artists coming up, and the venue is just a 40-minute drive from this iconic venue.
Other well known events include Scarborough Cricket Club Fixtures the Naval Warfare at Peasholm Park and events at Scarborough Castle.
Free events are also taking place at the Scarborough Rotunda and Art Gallery, both of which are in the town’s cultural quarter.
Scarborough Armed Forces Day is a hugely popular event, taking place in Scarborough’s South Bay this year on 27thJune.
Scarborough Art takes place at venues throughout the town from 4th July to 2nd August.
Then the very popular Scarborough Extreme takes place in the North Bay 19th and 20th September.
